Recently, UCB China (“UCB”) and Zhejiang BioRay Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd (“BioRay”) have signed a commercialization agreement bring Bimekizumab (trade name: BIMZELX®) to patients across China.  By leveraging the strengths of both parties, this collaboration aims to accelerate the launch of Bimekizumab in China and bring this innovative therapy to a broader patient population.

UCB has been dedicated to developing innovative therapies for severe diseases of the immune and nervous systems. Several of its immunological drugs, including BIMZELX®, have demonstrated exceptional clinical value and significant market impact globally. In China, Bimekizumab has been approved by the China`s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in July 2024 for the treatment of adult patients with active ankylosing spondylitis (AS) who have an inadequate response or are intolerant to conventional therapy, and in September it was approved for the treatment of adult patients with radiographic negative axial spondyloarthritis (nr-axSpA).
